Three ingredients in an 8oz bottle: sweet almond oil, soybean oil and peppermint oil. That is the whole formula, which is unusual enough to be the reason people keep repurchasing it.
Almond oil binds to the strand and seals moisture in, so it works as a sealing step over a leave-in rather than as a moisturiser on its own. The peppermint gives it the cool, sharp scent the range is known for, and it soothes the feel of a dry scalp.
Warm a small amount in your palms and massage it into the scalp, on wet or dry hair, as often as your hair likes it. It also pairs with the Hawaiian Ginger Styling Gel, applied while the hair is still wet, to cut down on flaking. Not recommended for children under a year old.

Application tips
Four partings reach most of the scalp. Tip a little into one palm, dot it along each parting with your fingertips, then work what is left through the ends.
Wet hair takes it better than dry, since the oil has water to seal over. Half an hour before a wash turns it into a pre-shampoo step. Keep the dose small; oil is easy to overdo.
Results
The scalp cools on contact and stays comfortable rather than tight. Hair holds its moisture longer between washes, so the ends stop feeling papery by day three.
There is shine along the length without heaviness at the root, and the mint scent hangs around for a few hours. Dull looking coils darken up and feel softer under the hand.
