This is the cleansing step in Mielle's Kalahari Melon & Aloe Vera Deep Hydration system, and it is designed to hand the hair over to the matching 2-Minute Deep Conditioner in decent shape.
The job is a moisture-focused wash. It lathers properly and lifts buildup and residue, but stops short of the stripped, squeaky finish that sends dry hair backwards. Strands come out soft, manageable and ready to take a conditioner rather than resisting it. The 355 ml bottle carries the teal Kalahari Melon and Aloe Vera label. It suits all hair types on paper, though the reason to reach for it is dryness, and curls, coils and waves are where that shows up most.
Apply to wet hair, massage until it forms a full lather, and rinse. Follow with the 2-Minute Deep Conditioner or a richer masque if your hair is very dry. Repeat the shampoo step only if the hair still feels coated after the first pass.

Application tips
Wet the hair for longer than you think, a good minute under the water, so the lather forms on the first attempt. Apply at the scalp in four or five places and massage with the pads of your fingers, not the nails.
Let the run-off clean the lengths. One wash usually does it, and a second only if the hair was heavily loaded with product.
Results
Product and residue come away, and the hair still feels like hair afterwards, not a squeaky, tangled mess. Curls stay soft through the rinse and the scalp is left calm, with none of that post-wash tightness. The conditioner that follows goes further too, since it is not spending its first two minutes undoing what a harsher cleanser did.
