Decyl glucoside does the cleansing, gently, and the babassu conditions on the way through. It is made for dry and curly hair types, and it softens as it washes rather than leaving the hair to be rescued by the conditioner.
Sulphate free matters most if you wash more than once a week, because that is when a stripping cleanser starts to show in the ends. Massage into wet hair until a full lather forms and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Mielle pairs it with the Babassu Oil and Mint Deep Conditioner.

Application tips
Glucoside cleansers want more contact time than a sulphate wash, so work it into the scalp for a good thirty seconds before you begin rinsing. The first lather will look thin.
Rinse, apply a second smaller amount, and you get the foam you were expecting. Concentrate everything at the roots and let the run-off deal with the lengths.
Results
The scalp is clean but the ends have not been emptied out, which is the difference you feel most if you wash twice a week. Curls stay soft under the water and do not ball into a knot, so detangling afterwards is a shorter job. Dullness lifts, and the hair dries with its pattern intact, not frizzed and stripped.
