Mazuri Shea Butter Naturals Cowash Conditioning Cleanser Ultra-Moisturizing & Detangling for Curly, Coily & Textured Hair 473ml/15.99 oz
Sulfates are efficient. That is the problem with them on coily hair, which needs the oils they remove. A conditioning cleanser takes the slower route: less foam, less removal, and hair that comes out clean without the tightness.
Mazuri's Shea Butter Naturals cowash is a 473ml / 15.99 oz bottle of exactly that. Shea butter carries the moisture, and the cleansing side is mild enough to use as often as your scalp wants without pushing the hair back into dryness. Because it conditions while it cleans, most of the detangling gets done in the shower.
Use a generous amount, work it in section by section on dense hair, and give it time before rinsing. Rushing a low-lather formula is the main reason people decide co-washing does not work for them. Best for curly, coily, kinky and wavy textures, roughly type 3b through 4c, that stay dry no matter how much conditioner goes on afterwards. Keep a clarifying shampoo in rotation for once every few weeks.

Application tips
A cowash does not lather, so judge it by feel rather than by foam. Soak the hair through first. Take a large handful, more than a shampoo would need, and rub it into the scalp in sections with the pads of your fingers for a good minute.
Let it sit while you wash the rest of you, then rinse hard. Anyone using heavy butters or wax still needs a clarifying shampoo every few washes alongside it.
Results
Hair comes out clean but never stripped, which is the point of washing with a conditioner instead of a detergent. Curls stay soft and springy through the rinse rather than turning into a tangled sheet.
Detangling in the shower gets easier because the slip is already there. Between full washes it keeps the scalp fresh without costing you the moisture you spent all week putting in.
