Elasticity improves as the hair takes on moisture, and hair with more elasticity breaks less when you style it.

Application tips
Two washes is the usual pattern on dry hair. A first one to shift the product, and a second, shorter one that actually gets to condition.
Work it into the scalp in sections with the pads of your fingers and let the run off take care of the lengths. Rinse for longer than feels necessary. Follow with a conditioner while the hair is still soaking, then detangle before you leave the shower.
Results
Clean, but without the tight, squeaking feel that tells you a shampoo has taken too much away.
Dry lengths keep enough moisture that a comb can get through them at the basin. Frizz is calmer once dry and the surface picks up a bit of light again. On coarse hair it works best as the first half of a pair, with a proper conditioner behind it.
