Castor and amla oils, organically farmed, in a 237ml bottle built for scalps that are under tension. Protective styles pull, and the scalp beneath one tends to go dry and tight in the weeks after an install.
The formula is rich but not heavy, so it gets down to the scalp through the parts without leaving the braids looking oily. Castor is the thick one that coats the strand, amla runs lighter and takes the dryness out of the hair itself.
Where it helps most is length retention. Braids and locs that stay conditioned break less when you take them down, and less breakage at takedown is most of what people mean when they say a protective style worked.
Apply along the parts every few days, massage in, then run what is left over the length of the braids. A few drops is enough on a section, and more than that just sits on the fibre. If the braids look shiny an hour later you have used too much.
Best on dense type 3 and type 4 hair worn in braids, locs, twists or cornrows for weeks at a time.
