Application tips
Curly hair only needs shampoo at the scalp. Dilute a palmful with a little water in your hands first, then apply straight to the roots in sections and scrub with the pads of your fingers.
Let the run-off clean the lengths. Rinse fully before conditioning. Once a week is enough for most coily hair, twice for looser curls that get oily faster.
Results
Grit and oil come off the roots properly, which is harder to achieve on thick hair than people expect.
The lengths come out clean but still soft rather than stripped bare, so the conditioner that follows has something to work with. Curls keep their spring instead of going squeaky and flat, and the coconut scent is light enough that it does not fight a styler afterwards.
