Maui Moisture builds its formulas on aloe vera juice rather than water, and this is the version for hair that has been coloured.
Sea minerals and nutrient-rich algae sit alongside the aloe, and the cleanse is sulfate-free, which is the single most useful thing a colour shampoo can be. Sulfates are efficient at removing oil and just as efficient at removing dye, so taking them out slows the fade considerably. What is left cleans well enough for everyday use while leaving the pigment where the colourist put it.
