Mane N Tail built this 355ml can to reach past the braid to the hair and scalp beneath, so it conditions and hydrates as well as adding shine. The mist is fine enough to get between rows without soaking the style, and it does not leave the greasy film that undoes a neat set of cornrows.
It works on box braids, cornrows, locs, twists and weaves. Spray in sections, lifting rows as you go so the scalp gets some too, then smooth over the surface with your hands to even it out.
The habit worth building is doing it every couple of days rather than waiting until the style looks tired. Braids that have been kept conditioned come down more easily at the end, and the hair underneath is in better shape for the next install, which is the part nobody thinks about until it is too late to matter.

Application tips
Hold the bottle about a foot from your head and mist in sweeps rather than aiming at one spot. Braids soak unevenly, and a wet patch takes an hour to dry.
Go over the length first, then lift sections and spray the scalp between the rows. Smooth it in with your palms afterwards so it does not bead on the surface. Every second or third day is usually enough.
Results
Braids that have gone matte come back to a soft shine, and the frizzed hairs along each plait lie flatter once you have smoothed them down.
The scalp underneath feels less parched, which matters most in weeks two and three of a style when you cannot get to it easily. It leaves the hair moving rather than stiff, so a style keeps looking worn-in instead of dusty.
