Ylang ylang comes from the flowers of the Cananga tree and carries a heavy, sweet floral scent that people tend to either love or avoid entirely. If you already know you like it, this bottle gives you a lot of it.
On skin the useful property is balance. It softens without leaving a greasy film, which makes it workable on skin that is dry in some places and oily in others. On hair it adds shine and a little slip, and the 150ml/5.07 oz size means you can be generous with a scalp massage without watching the level drop.
Most of its life will probably be spent as a fragrance layer. Added to a carrier oil for a body blend, or a few drops warmed between the palms and smoothed over finished curls, the scent lingers for hours. Works across wavy and curly textures from 2a to 4a.

Application tips
Blend before use. A few drops into a tablespoon of a plain carrier makes a body oil. The same again into a conditioner turns it into a scented mask.
For a scalp massage, warm the blend first and work it in with slow circles for a few minutes. If you are using it purely as a fragrance, one drop behind each ear and on the wrists is the whole application.
Results
Skin ends up balanced rather than coated, softened in the dry places without a film sitting over the oily ones. That combination is unusual in a floral oil.
Hair gains gloss and a touch of slip, enough to make finished curls look polished. Mostly, though, this is about the smell. Heavy, sweet and floral, and it stays on skin and hair for hours rather than fading by lunchtime.
