Neat castor oil is too heavy for a lot of people, and this is the version that fixes that. Mamado cut their Jamaican black castor oil with coconut oil, which thins the texture down and lets it spread properly instead of sitting in a lump where you dropped it.
The blend brings omega fatty acids and vitamin E with it. On hair that means softer lengths and less resistance when you comb, and the coconut oil gets into the strand rather than staying on top. On skin it behaves as a straightforward body oil, so the bottle tends to get used for both.
Three ways it fits a routine: warmed and worked through the scalp and lengths an hour before you wash, smoothed over damp ends after conditioning, or used in a pinch on dry patches of skin. Type 3b through 4c hair. 150ml / 5.07 oz.
