Extra dark means the castor beans were roasted longer before pressing, which is what produces the deep colour, the higher alkalinity and the thicker feel. Mamado make theirs the traditional way: roast the beans, boil them, press the oil.
Castor oil at this strength carries omega-9 fatty acids, minerals and vitamin E, and it is thick enough to stay exactly where you put it. On hair that means sealing moisture into dry, coarse lengths and giving enough slip that detangling stops costing you ends. On the scalp it conditions and takes the tightness out of dry skin. It works on the body too, on the patches ordinary lotion never quite fixes.
The 150ml/5.07 oz bottle is larger than most JBCO on the shelf. Warm it in your hands first. Best on type 3b through 4c.
