Application tips
Twenty in a pack because they vanish, so split them up: some in the school bag, some by the mirror, some in the car. For pigtails, part down the middle and finish one side before you start the other, keeping each loose enough to slide a finger underneath. Roll them off downward at bath time, never pulling them over the ends.
Results
Ponytails survive the playground and pigtails are still level at pickup. Getting them out is the real win, since nothing catches and hair brushing stops being the worst part of the evening. Fine children's hair comes through a week of daily tying without a pile of snapped ends underneath, and there are enough spares that losing a few costs you nothing.
