The Heat-Lock cap traps the warmth your own head produces and holds it against the hair. No plug, no dryer, no waiting for anything to warm up. The gentle temperature opens the cuticle so your mask or conditioner penetrates further, and it keeps the moisture from evaporating off while the treatment sits.
Apply your conditioner, pull the cap on, leave it for the time the product recommends, then rinse. Works with masks, oils, protein treatments or a hot oil step.

Application tips
Saturate properly first. Warmth cannot drive in a conditioner that has only been smeared over the top, so section the hair and work the product through every strand before the cap goes near it.
Clip the length up, bring the cap over, and tuck the edge in all the way round to stop warmth escaping at the nape. Give it longer than you think, then rinse cool. Wipe the inside dry between uses.
Results
Held warmth does the job a hood dryer would, minus the plug and the wait for anything to heat up. The cuticle relaxes, the treatment moves further in, and less of it evaporates off the surface while it sits.
Same mask, better return. Hair comes out softer, combs through with less resistance, and the tub lasts as long because you are not compensating with extra product.
