Round palm brushes sit differently in the hand. The head fills the curve of the palm, so the pressure spreads instead of concentrating along one edge, and you can rotate the brush mid stroke to follow the shape of the head.
The 7724 is the hard bristled version of that shape. Stiff bristles, evenly spaced, aimed at laying dense hair flat and keeping it flat between sessions. There is no handle to get in the way, so on short hair you can work right up to a fade line without lifting the edge of the brush off the head.
It is a coarse hair brush. Fine or fragile hair will get more from the soft round version, and a fresh cut wants a week or two of growth before you put this much tension on it.

Application tips
Let the head settle into your palm and grip it with the whole hand, not the fingertips. Turn the brush slightly as you stroke so the round face keeps following the curve of the head.
Around a fade, keep it low and work right up to the line without tilting. Wash it once a week and dry it face down so water is not sitting in the base.
Results
