Luster's Pink Therapeutic Conditioning Hairdress has been on shelves for decades doing exactly that. It puts moisture back into hair that has gone dry between wash days, softens the feel of a dry scalp, and adds enough sheen to stop the hair looking flat.

Application tips
A hairdress works in small amounts on a scalp you have already parted. Take a fingertip's worth, warm it between your palms until it loosens, then press it along each parting and massage. Whatever stays on your hands goes down the lengths and finishes at the ends.
Daily is fine. If the roots start looking flat, you are using too much.
Results
Dryness stops announcing itself. The scalp settles down and stops feeling tight, the hair looks less dull under a light, and rough ends lie down where they used to stand away from the rest.
There is a low sheen to it, closer to conditioned than shiny. Parting and combing get easier, and on a school morning that is what you actually notice.
