Most curl definers make you choose. Definition with a hard cast, or softness with no shape at all. This one is formulated for a medium hold that stays flexible, so the curls keep their bounce.
Glycerin does the heavy lifting on moisture, backed by natural emollients and botanical extracts. Glycerin pulls water from the air into the hair, which is why a glycerin-rich product tends to perform well through a damp British autumn and less well in a dry, heated room. Worth knowing before you judge it on one bad week in January with the radiators on.
There is no flaking and no crunch, which is where a lot of gels and older S-curl activators fall down. Uniform, defined curls, soft to the touch, with movement left in them.
The 11oz tub covers 2a waves through 3c curls. Apply to damp hair in sections and let it dry without touching it. Curls set as they dry, and every time you run a hand through them before they have finished, you are trading definition for frizz. Once they are properly dry you can separate the clumps by hand for volume, or leave them as they fall.
