Luster's Pink Repair & Strengthen Masque 11.5oz
Pea protein is the working ingredient. Plant proteins behave a little differently to keratin in a treatment. They are lighter, and hair that goes stiff on a heavy protein mask will often tolerate them without complaint.
That makes this a reasonable weekly option rather than a once-a-month emergency measure. It works into the hair shaft, firms up the weak spots along the strand and cuts down on breakage, and the practical result is hair that survives combing and styling with less loss along the way.
Luster's positions it as prep for chemically treated hair too, so it earns a place before a texturiser as well as after one. Going into a chemical service with hair that is already strong is a smaller job than repairing it afterwards.
The tub is 11.5oz. Apply after shampoo, work it through, leave a few minutes and rinse thoroughly. Suits type 2 waves through to type 3c curls that feel weak, dull or brittle.

Application tips
Shampoo first, then get the excess water out with your hands so the masque is not diluted before it starts.
Take four sections and coat each one from the ends up, because that is where the damage sits. Clip it up, leave it while you finish in the shower, then rinse until the hair no longer feels slippery. Once a week is the usual rhythm, twice if things are bad.
Results
Hair feels sturdier straight away, with the soft, stretchy quality of damaged strands replaced by something that holds its shape.
Ends look less see-through. Combing pulls out fewer broken pieces, and styles that used to leave hair looking chewed up stop doing it. The finish is smooth and shiny rather than protein-stiff, so hair still moves.
Composition
- Pea Protein
- Reinforces damaged sections so hair snaps less during combing
