The original is the richer of the two versions, and it is aimed at hair at the drier end. Extra dry, dull, brittle, or simply neglected through a cold winter. It moisturises the strand and lubricates the scalp at the same time, so the tight, dry feeling eases off along with the dullness.
What it gets used for:

Apply to damp or dry hair, work it through the length, and use it on the scalp as well if that is where the dryness sits. A little goes further than most people expect.
