Luster's Pink has been a fixture in textured hair care for a long time, and this is the moisture conditioner in the range: a 12oz bottle for hair that has gone dry and stopped holding water.
It works on the cuticle. Smoothing that down is what reduces frizz, makes detangling quicker and gives the hair its sheen, and it is also what stops moisture escaping as fast once you have put it in. That makes it a useful step before texturising or activating, because hair that is already conditioned takes those processes better.

Application tips
Wring the water out after shampooing, or it dilutes straight off the strand. Apply through the mid-lengths and ends in sections, comb through, and give it three or four minutes.
A warm towel or a shower cap over the top helps on coarser hair. Rinse in cool water. On very dry hair, use a trace of it as a leave-in on the last inch instead.
Results
Dry hair takes the moisture in and stops feeling like straw within one use.
Combing gets quicker, the ends look less ragged, and the hair carries a low shine rather than a greasy one. It behaves better under heat and holds a style for longer, and hair that had gone rough between the fingers starts feeling smooth again.
