Application tips
Sulphate-free formulas lather less, so the instinct is to use more. Resist it. One pump for short hair, two for long, worked into wet roots with the fingers rather than the palms.
It will take a second pass on hair that is heavy with styling product, which is normal for this kind of base. Rinse well, then follow with a conditioner on the lengths.
Results
Colour survives longer. Without sulphates doing the stripping, pigment stays where the colourist put it, and the copper coming out of the tap gets neutralised rather than left to react with it.
