Application tips
Chunky shea needs warming before it goes anywhere. Take a small piece, press it between your palms until it turns to oil, then smooth it over damp hair rather than dry.
On skin, apply while you are still slightly wet from the shower. Whip it with a hand mixer if you prefer a lighter texture. Keep the tub shut and away from radiators.
Results
Dry ends soften and stop rasping, and the hair holds moisture longer because something on the surface is keeping it in. Skin feels padded and comfortable, particularly on elbows, knees and heels.
The scent is nutty, not perfumed, since nothing has been added to cover it. Used heavily it will weigh fine hair down, so it suits ends and skin better than roots.
