Application tips
Decant a capful, part the hair in rows and lay the oil along each parting before you rub it in. Whatever stays on your palms goes down the lengths and through the ends. A shower cap keeps it off the pillow if it is staying on overnight.
Two lathers to get it out. Amla stains light fabric, so keep it well away from a pale towel.
Results
Ends stop snapping so readily, and that is really the case for amla. Length is kept rather than gained, which is the honest way to describe what any oil does for hair.
The cuticle lies flatter after a few weeks, so hair catches light instead of looking dusty. The scalp feels less papery. The scent is dark, green and unmistakably herbal.
