This leave-in is formulated to bring the hair back to a balanced pH after cleansing and to seal the cuticle down while it does it. That is most of why the detangling works so well, because a sealed cuticle is a smooth one and a comb has nothing to catch on. The rest is straightforward conditioning, softening the hair enough to twist, coil or set it without a fight.

Application tips
Use it while the hair is still dripping. Water is the carrier, and a leave in spread through hair you have already towel dried never reaches the same places.
Section into four, coat each one from the ends up, then twist or clip it out of the way before you start the next. If you are setting the hair, do it now while everything is still soft.
Results
Tangles come apart under the fingers, so the comb has less to do and fewer strands break on the way through.
Hair dries with the curls sitting in defined groups, not one frizzy mass, and the surface feels smooth when you run a hand down it. Twist outs and braid outs unravel cleanly the next morning.
