Standard hold is the one to pick if you want a set with movement in it. The extra hold version of the same lotion is firmer, better suited to styles that must not shift for several days. This one keeps body and bounce and finishes with real shine rather than a matte, dusty look. It covers 2a to 3b hair on natural or relaxed textures.
Foam into damp hair, section by section, then set and dry fully. The lotion keeps sections detangled while you work, so the parting stage is quicker and the comb out at the end is less destructive.
Use a light hand if your hair is fine, since foam wrap builds up quickly on thin strands.

Application tips
Half a handful of foam per quarter of the head is about right, and less if the hair is fine. It collapses in the palm fast, so apply straight away rather than dispensing the lot up front.
Damp hair, worked in with fingers, then rollers or a wrap. Dry it out completely under a hood before anything comes out of the hair.
Results
Standard hold gives a set with give in it. The curl stays where you put it but the hair still swings, which is what most people actually want from a roller set.
Shine is real rather than matte, and the body lasts several days. Fine hair should go carefully, since this kind of foam stacks up on thin strands quickly and turns a light set heavy.
