Cleansing a dry scalp is a balancing act, because the wash that shifts flakes is usually the one that leaves the scalp tighter than before. This Keracare shampoo is built around that problem, pairing the cleanse with enough moisturisers that hair does not come out squeaky and stripped.

Ammonium laureth and lauryl sulfates do the cleansing, softened by cocamidopropyl betaine and cocamide DEA. Menthol is what gives the cool feel on the scalp. Polyquaternium-28 and glycol stearate handle conditioning and cut interfibre friction, which is why hair combs through afterwards instead of knotting. The rest is a long botanical list including rosemary leaf, chamomile, calendula, arnica, ivy, burdock root and lime flower extracts.

How to use it
