Curl waxes have a reputation for leaving a dull grey film on dark hair. This one is formulated the other way round, finishing with a satin sheen instead of a chalky cast.
The purpose is crisp curl definition that survives the day. Worked through sections before you set or twist the hair, it gives the curl something to hold onto, and the shape stays perky instead of loosening by lunchtime. Humidity has less effect on it than it does on a light cream.

Warm a small amount between your palms first, then work through in sections, either on damp hair before setting or on dry hair to redefine a curl that has dropped. Application tips
Scrape a thin layer off the top with a fingernail rather than digging in, because a wax like this goes a long way and there is no undoing an overload short of rewashing.
Soften it between the hands until it turns clear, then press it into damp sections before you twist, roll or set. Mid week, work a trace into whichever curls have gone slack.
Results
Curls come out crisp and stay that way into the evening rather than loosening off by lunch. Each curl keeps its own outline instead of merging into sheets with its neighbours.
