Keracare Curl Essence Moisturizing Shampoo 12 oz / 355 ml - For Hydrated Curls & Scalp Care
A sulfate-free shampoo for curly, coily and wavy hair, built to clean without the squeaky, stripped feeling that sends you straight to a heavy conditioner afterwards.
Coconut oil and castor oil do the conditioning work inside the formula, so hair stays soft through the wash rather than only recovering later. It is free from sulfates, parabens, mineral oil, phthalates and petrolatum, which matters if you are keeping a curl routine clear of the ingredients that build up or weigh curls down.
- Cleanses curls, coils and waves without stripping them
- Coconut and castor oil for slip and softness
- No sulfates, parabens, mineral oil, phthalates or petrolatum
- Suits type 2 waves through to looser type 3 curls
12 oz bottle. Lather through wet hair in sections, concentrating on the scalp, then rinse and follow with a conditioner.

Application tips
Wet the hair through, then part it into four and work the lather into the scalp of each section with your fingertips. The lengths need very little, and whatever rinses down through them is generally enough.
One wash is usually plenty. Rinse until the water is clear, then get a conditioner on while the hair is still wet, since that is when it takes it best.
Results
Curls come out clean without that stripped, squeaking finish that has you reaching for a mask to undo the shampoo you just used. The softness is built into the wash instead of being repaired afterwards.
Slip is decent enough to start detangling in the shower. Nothing here builds up over time, so volume holds week to week rather than flattening off.
Composition
- Coconut Oil
- Keeps softness in the strand while the lather does its work
- Castor Oil
- Adds slip, so wet hair is workable rather than knotted
