Application tips
Do the strand test first and time it properly; eight levels of lift on dark hair is not a process to guess at.
Mix the powder and developer in a non metal bowl, then apply to the mid lengths and ends before the roots, since heat from the scalp lifts those faster. Watch the colour rather than the clock. Rinse, then use the conditioning treatment while the hair is still open.
Results
Dark hair reaches a genuine blonde in a single session, where a weaker bleach would want two or three goes at it. Expect a warm, yellow stage on the way up; that is the pigment underneath, and a toner deals with it afterwards.
The conditioning step puts some of the feel back, though bleached hair will always be more porous and want more moisture from then on.
