Jane Carter Solution Creamy Conditioning Cleanser Hydrating & Detangling for Curly, Coily & Dry Hair 237ml/8.01 oz
A conditioning cleanser is a shampoo that behaves like a conditioner. Little to no lather, a creamy texture, and enough slip that you can detangle while you are still washing.
Jane Carter's version is aimed at dry, delicate and textured hair that a normal shampoo leaves squeaking. It cleans the scalp and lengths without sulphates, so the natural oils stay where they are, and it gives you enough grip to work knots apart with your fingers instead of a comb. If you have moved to low-poo or no-poo washing, this is the sort of product that makes the switch workable rather than a compromise.
237ml/8.01 oz. Suits 3b through 4c. Use it as your main wash between clarifying sessions, and remember that co-washing still needs the occasional proper clarify to keep build-up in check.

Application tips
Wet the hair thoroughly, then apply this the way you would a conditioner rather than a shampoo. Straight onto the scalp in sections, massaged with the fingertips, then pulled down the lengths.
It will barely lather, which is normal for a cleansing cream. Leave it sitting for a minute or two, detangle with your fingers while it is on, then rinse until the roots feel clean under the hand.
Results
Hair comes out clean but never stripped, so coils keep the softness they had before the wash instead of turning coarse and squeaky. Knots loosen while the cream is on, which cuts the amount of detangling left to do afterwards.
The scalp feels refreshed rather than tight. Curl clumps hold together better going into a styler, since nothing has roughed the cuticle up.
