Butters and thick oils are hard to apply to a scalp that is already covered in hair. This serum solves that. Pimento oil, the aromatic oil from Jamaican allspice, comes in a light carrier blend that runs between the strands instead of sitting on top of them.
Pimento contains eugenol, which is where the warm, spicy feeling on the skin and the clove like smell both come from. A few drops massaged in warms the scalp noticeably, and the sensation fades after a minute or two. The same serum works on the lengths, sealing the cuticle, controlling frizz and putting shine on locs, braids and loose natural hair, so one bottle handles the roots and the ends without you switching products halfway.
