It is a firm, concentrated wax rather than a light one, and the resistant formula is compounded to keep its grip in conditions where standard waxes go soft. Damp air, sweat and light water contact do not loosen it the way they loosen a general purpose locking product. The trade-off is what you would expect from a wax: it grips hard, so use small amounts and be ready to clarify properly on wash day.
