Underneath the tea tree, this is the same roasted black castor oil as the rest of the line. Thick, dark, slow to spread, and best applied in sections with the nozzle rather than poured.

Application tips
Best used the night before a wash rather than after one. Tea tree does its best work on roots that feel weighed down, and following it with a shampoo the next morning clears the lot in one go.
Apply along the partings and leave it. Do not layer a second oil on top, and keep it off the face, since the scent travels and the oil is thick enough to migrate down a hairline overnight.
Results
The roots feel clear rather than coated, and the sharp herbal scent reads as clean in a way the sweeter variants in the range do not.
