Hair fragrance is a small category and a genuinely useful one. Body sprays and perfumes are built on drying alcohols, which is fine on skin and bad news on textured hair, particularly locs, which hold on to whatever you put in them.
Hair N' Cense is made for hair instead. The base is light natural oils, so it conditions and adds a little shine while it carries the scent, and there is nothing in it that will rough up the cuticle. The scent itself is warm and tropical, mango and lime, matching the rest of the Jamaican Mango and Lime line. It clings to textured hair through the day rather than fading by lunchtime.

Application tips
A couple of drops on the fingertips, smoothed over the outside of a finished style. It goes on last, after everything else, and it works better on hair than sprayed into the air above it.
For locs, concentrate on the ends, since that is where a stale smell settles first. Keep it light. Fragrance oil is one of the few things where a heavier hand makes the result worse rather than stronger.
Results
Hair holds the scent for a day or two rather than an hour, and it sits closer to the head than a body spray does, so you catch it when you move rather than announcing it across a room.
Because it is oil-based, the hair picks up a small amount of softness and shine with it. Locs and braids that had started smelling of nothing much smell deliberate again.
