Cocoa butter and jojoba oil are a heavier pairing than the rest of the Hair Food range, which is why this 350 ml conditioner suits coils and tight curls better than fine waves. Dry, frizzy and damaged hair is what it is built for.
The formula is 98% natural origin, 100% vegan, silicone free and paraben free. It moisturises deeply without weighing the hair down, which is a harder balance to strike once the butters go in.

Apply after shampooing, concentrate on the mid-lengths and ends, leave it a minute or two, and rinse. Type 3b through type 4c textures will get the most out of it.

Application tips
This is the one to detangle with. Work through the hair in four sections with the conditioner still in, starting at the ends and moving up towards the root, using a wide-tooth comb or just your fingers. Twist each finished section out of the way. Rinse under cool water at the end. If your hair is very dry, leave it under a cap for ten minutes and it doubles as a mask.
Results
Coils feel weighted rather than fluffy, which is what stops them tangling into each other by the afternoon. Shrinkage looks about the same, but the strands lie together instead of catching on their neighbours. The comb pulls out far less hair. Fine or wavy textures will find it too much on a regular basis, so save it for the days the hair actually asks for it.
