Fantasia IC Naturals Avocado Cilantro Hydrating Butter: Intense Moisture & Softness for Dry, Textured Hair 113g/3.99 oz
Avocado and cilantro is an unusual pairing for a hair butter, and it is the whole identity of this one. Avocado for the fats, cilantro for the fresh, green scent that stops a heavy butter smelling cloying.
At 113g this is a small jar, and it is meant to be. A butter this rich goes on in small amounts, mostly on the ends and the driest sections, and a big tub would sit unused. It melts on contact and coats the strand rather than absorbing away.
Best used for:
- Dry, thick textures that lighter products cannot satisfy
- Sealing moisture in after a leave-in
- Smoothing frizz on ends that look ragged
- Twists and braids that need to stay soft for days
Tagged 3b through 4c. Warm it between your palms first, then smooth it down each section with the cuticle rather than raking against it.

Application tips
Butter needs warmth to spread. Scoop a small amount, rub it between your palms until it turns to oil, then press it into damp hair in sections, ends first and roots last if at all.
A pea sized amount covers a section on medium density hair. Follow with a twist, a braid or a wash and go. On dry hair use half as much, purely as a smoother for ends that have gone rough.
Results
Thirsty texture turns soft and pliable, and it stays that way for days rather than hours. Curls clump instead of splitting into fluff, definition holds through a couple of nights, and the ends stop feeling like straw.
The finish is a low sheen rather than a shine, and it sits heavier than a cream, which is what coarse hair usually wants.
Composition
- Avocado
- Heavy oil that softens dry, coarse texture and helps it hold moisture
- Cilantro
- Green extract blended with the avocado, giving the butter its fresh note
