The scalp gets conditioned in the same pass, so it stops feeling tight by the second day.
It works across relaxed, natural, permed and colour-treated hair, which is unusual, and the reason is that it is a moisturiser rather than a treatment with one particular chemistry driving it. Hair comes out soft, smooth and easier to work with, and at 12 oz there is enough in the bottle to actually use it daily rather than ration it out.

Application tips
Wash day is where this one earns its place. Apply while the hair is still wet, before anything else goes on, so the moisture gets sealed under whatever follows.
A palmful for thick hair, half that for fine. Smooth it down the lengths, then flip the head and get the underneath, which is the section that always gets missed. Comb through and style wet.
Results
Wet hair turns manageable straight away, and it stays that way as it dries rather than tightening up. Dull lengths come back with some life in them and the surface reads smoother.
Under a gel, a cream or a foam it stops the styler drying the hair out, which is what makes a wash-and-go last three days instead of one. Nothing builds up.
