Aloe is one of the few ingredients that does two jobs in a shampoo at once. It carries water into the hair, and it leaves a light slip behind, so a cleanse built around it tends to feel gentler than the ingredient list suggests.
Fantasia IC has been making this 473ml bottle for years and the pitch has not changed much. It washes off product build-up, sweat and excess oil, then leaves the scalp feeling calm rather than tight. Oily, dry, colour-treated or somewhere in between, most hair types can take it as a weekly or twice-weekly wash. The soothing part is about comfort, not treatment: a dry scalp simply feels better after this than it does after something stripping.
Fine across 2a to 4a. Follow it with a conditioner, because aloe on its own will not detangle a dense head of curls.
