Application tips
Two wraps is usually the right number. Three starts to compress the section, and that is where the crease comes from.
Gather the hair with your fingers rather than a brush so the base sits soft, then roll the band on instead of stretching and snapping it. To take one out, slide it down and off the ends rather than pulling it up over the base.
Results
There is no metal clasp to catch a strand on the way out, so removing one costs you nothing. The band grips a dense section without creeping down the length through the day, and it sits light enough on fine hair to leave no dent.
