This one manages both. It goes on thick and works into the strand rather than coating it, so dry, thirsty curls come out softened from the inside. The pattern tightens into proper clumps with bounce in them rather than the flat, over-conditioned look a heavy mask can leave behind. Application tips
After shampoo, squeeze the water out until the hair stops dripping, or the mask will slide off rather than sink in. Work through four loose sections, ends first, roots last.
A wide-tooth comb spreads it evenly and takes the tangles out at the same time. Ten minutes is enough on a normal wash day; put a cap on and leave it twenty when the hair feels rough. Rinse until the slip goes.
Results
The change shows up in your hands before it shows in the mirror. Sections that felt rough and squeaky come out slippery and heavy, and the comb stops catching halfway down.
Styling afterwards takes less product because the hair is not thirsty any more. Give it a wash or two rather than judging on one go, particularly if you have been colouring or heat styling.
