Delia Cameleo Keratin Repair Salt-Free Conditioner for Damaged Hair 200ml / 6.76 fl oz
Salt-free matters more than it sounds. Sodium chloride is a cheap thickener in conditioners and it speeds up colour fade, so leaving it out is a straightforward win for anyone with dyed hair or a keratin treatment they want to keep.
Delia's Cameleo Keratin conditioner uses hydrolysed keratin, the same protein hair is made of, broken down small enough to sit in the damaged gaps along the strand. On hair that is dry, brittle or frizzy from bleaching and heat, the effect is a smoother surface and better resilience under a brush.
At 200ml it is a smaller bottle than most, which suits a protein conditioner. You should not be reaching for one at every wash. Alternate it with a moisturising conditioner and keep this for the weeks when the hair feels weak rather than simply dry.
Gentle enough for sensitive scalps and colour-treated hair, and it works across a broad range from 2A waves to 4A coils.

Application tips
After shampoo, wring the water out properly. Protein conditioner has to reach the strand, and it cannot do that through a coat of water. Apply along the lengths, comb through, then leave two to three minutes and rinse. Do not extend the time hoping for more, because protein left on too long can leave hair feeling stiff.
Results
Hair feels firmer under the fingers and holds up better to brushing, which is what a protein conditioner is for. Bleached and heat-damaged lengths stop feeling spongy when wet.
The surface smooths down, so frizz drops and the hair takes a shine. Colour holds longer than it does with a salted conditioner, which is the quiet advantage of the salt-free formula.
Composition
- Hydrolysed Keratin
