Short and Neat is a tin of light hold hair dressing, and the name describes the finish accurately. It is not a pomade for a hard part or a sculpted quiff. It is for keeping a short style tidy, laying an edge down, and putting a low sheen on hair that would otherwise look dry.
The hold is deliberately soft. Hair still moves, and you can run a comb through it later in the day without the product cracking or flaking. Dax have been making this one for a long time and the formula has not chased trends.

Application tips
Scrape a little out with a fingernail, rub it between the fingers, then work it into dry hair and comb through. Short cuts need almost nothing, and a tin lasts months at that rate. For laying an edge, apply with the fingertips and smooth with a soft brush. It combs back out later in the day without leaving flakes behind.
Results
It reads as tidy, which is what a short cut usually needs. Hair keeps its movement and a comb still passes through it in the afternoon.
The sheen sits low, enough to stop dry hair looking dull without going wet. Tapered sides and short natural cuts lie flat and stay that way all day.
