Neat Waves is the wave-specific pomade in the Dax line. Strong hold, non-greasy, and it keeps the ripple defined through humidity and a full day of movement. Shine is part of the appeal too, since a wave pattern without shine reads flat, and this leaves hair looking clean rather than coated.
Apply a small amount to damp hair after brushing, cover with a durag or wave cap, and let it set. Repeat daily, and use less than feels right, because heavy application is what turns a sharp pattern into a greasy one. Pair it with a soft brush rather than a stiff one: the brushing does the shaping, the tin only keeps it there.

Application tips
Apply after washing, while the hair still holds some damp, and spread a thin layer across the whole head, evenly, side to side.
Then brush. That is most of the work with a wave product: several minutes in your pattern, followed by compressing the hair under a durag while it dries. Repeat daily and the pattern deepens.
Results
The pomade holds the hair down against the head, which is the mechanism behind a wave pattern deepening. Ripples read sharper and stay sharp between brushing sessions.
