Dabur Amla Anti-Dandruff Hair Oil for Healthy Scalp & Strong Hair 200ml/6.76 fl oz
Oiling before a wash is standard practice in plenty of households, and this is the version built around amla. It goes on dry, sits for an hour or overnight, then comes out in the shampoo. Lemon oil is what makes it a dandruff formula rather than a plain conditioning oil.
Amla, or Indian gooseberry, brings vitamin C and antioxidants and gives the oil its name. Lemon oil purifies the scalp and helps keep excess oil in check. Canola oil and olive oil round the blend out, conditioning the lengths and sealing the cuticle.
What it does
- Reduces dandruff and eases an itchy, flaky scalp
- Strengthens hair and reduces hair fall caused by breakage
- Nourishes the scalp with vitamins and antioxidants
- Restores shine and a softer texture
- Conditions without leaving hair greasy
How to use it
Pour a small amount into your palm and warm it gently to help it absorb. Massage into the scalp in circular motions, then work it down the lengths to the ends. Leave it at least an hour, or overnight with a towel or shower cap to protect your bedding. Wash out with a mild sulphate-free shampoo and follow with conditioner. Two or three times a week.
Suits dry, flaky scalps and hair that breaks easily. 200ml / 6.76 fl oz.

Application tips
Tip a small pool into one palm and rub your hands together before it touches hair. Follow the partings with your fingertips, a couple of minutes per quarter, then draw the rest down to the ends.
An hour will do. Overnight does more, with a towel on the pillow. Shampoo it out afterwards, twice if the hair is fine, and skip conditioner at the roots that day.
Results
The scalp is left conditioned and comfortable, and dry surface flakes lift away when you shampoo. Along the lengths the oil softens rough strands and keeps them flexible, so combing and tying cost you fewer broken ends. Shine returns because a conditioned cuticle sits flat. Nothing feels greasy once it has been washed out.
