Application tips
Wet hair right through before the bottle is opened, then apply at the scalp only. Massage in circles with your fingertips, never your nails, and let the lather run down the lengths as it rinses.
Twice through is fine on wash day if the hair has had gel or butter on it. Follow with conditioner while the hair is still soaking, before it starts to knot.
Results
Hair comes out of the rinse clean at the roots and still pliable along the length, so the first comb meets fewer knots than usual. Most damage in a curly routine happens during the detangle, so starting that step with looser hair is what keeps strands off the shower floor. Sectioning and parting afterwards is quicker.
