Children's hair tangles just as badly as anyone else's, and it has less patience for the process. A deep conditioner is the fix, used on the days when the usual rinse-out is not enough.
CurlyKids keeps the formula plain: water, cetyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate and cetearyl alcohol, which together give a thick, slippery texture that coats the hair properly.

Apply generously to clean, damp hair from roots to ends. Leave it several minutes, detangle with fingers or a wide-tooth comb while it is on, then rinse thoroughly. Use it whenever the hair feels dry or rough, which is not necessarily every wash.
The 8oz tub suits 2A through 4A, and works just as well on adults who want something uncomplicated.

Application tips
Clean, wet hair only, and use more than feels sensible. Coat one section at a time, ends first, and let it sit while the rest of the shower happens.
Detangle before you rinse, never after, starting at the tips and moving up an inch at a time. Rinse until the water runs clear. A fortnight between treatments suits most heads, weekly if the hair is very dry.
Results
Rough, dry curls come out soft and the slip lasts long enough to finish detangling without a fight. Hair sections cleanly afterwards, which makes twisting or plaiting quicker. It rinses out completely and leaves no film, so curls keep their volume and do not hang flat. Ends look less frayed once dry.
