Curls Creamy Curl Cleanser Gentle Hydration & Definition for Curly & Wavy Hair
A creamy cleanser sits between a shampoo and a co-wash. There is enough surfactant to actually clean the scalp, but the base is rich, so the wash feels closer to conditioning than to stripping. That middle ground is where a lot of wavy and curly hair is happiest.
Shea butter, coconut oil and aloe vera do the conditioning. The result is hair that rinses clean but stays soft and elastic, with the curl pattern still visible while it is wet, which is usually a good sign of what you will get once it dries. It is sulphate-free, so nothing is being torn off the strand, and it holds definition better than a clear shampoo in humid weather. Type 2 and type 3 hair will get the most out of it, particularly anyone who finds ordinary shampoo leaves their curls frizzy before styling has even started.

Application tips
Soak the hair properly first, then work the cleanser into the scalp with your fingertips in small circles. It is creamy and low-foaming, so judge coverage by feel and never by lather.
Let the runoff carry down the lengths as you rinse. Scrubbing at the ends achieves nothing.
One wash suits most weeks. Go round twice if you have been using heavy butters or gel.
Results
Grease and product residue come away, but the hair does not go squeaky. Curls feel soft straight out of the rinse, which makes the conditioner step easier because product spreads evenly across a strand that has not been stripped.
Once dry, the pattern reads cleanly from root to end and the surface stays smoother in damp air.
