Dehydrated hair and dry hair are not quite the same problem. Dry hair lacks oil. Dehydrated hair lacks water. This shampoo is aimed at the second, which is the more common complaint on tightly coiled textures, and it is pitched at type 3b through 4c.
Certified Natural Mango and Shea Butter do the work. Mango handles the conditioning side and shea puts the richness back, and between them the shampoo cleans and conditions in the same step. The lather is generous without being harsh, so build-up and old product lift away while the hair keeps the oils it needs.

Application tips
Soak the hair first. Coily hair repels water at the start of a wash, so thirty seconds under the shower before any shampoo goes on makes a real difference to how evenly it spreads.
One wash if you have only worn a leave-in, two if there is gel or butter to shift. Scalp only for the lather; the lengths get cleaned by what runs down. Do not pile the hair up.
Results
Hair comes out of the wash without the tight, papery feel that follows most shampoos on tightly coiled textures. The moisture is still in there when you reach for the conditioner.
Coils come out defined rather than fluffed, with the pattern already visible under the water. Detangling begins in the shower instead of after it. Dehydrated hair, the kind that feels rough but is not oily, responds fastest.
