Use it after shampooing. Section the hair, apply generously from the 355ml bottle, comb through while it is still on, leave a few minutes, then rinse. On a deep conditioning day, cover with a cap and give it twenty minutes instead.

Application tips
After shampooing, on hair you have not towel-dried. Section into four, apply generously, comb each section through while the product is on it.
A few minutes is enough on a normal wash. If you are treating it as a deep conditioner, put a cap on and leave it three or four times as long. Rinse in cool water to settle the cuticle.
Results
Moisture stays past the shower rather than rinsing away with the product, and that is what a heavy butter base buys you on 4c coils.
Detangling happens under the water instead of afterwards. Shine comes from a flattened cuticle, not from added oil. Dense, thirsty textures get the most from it. Fine hair will find it heavy and is better off using it monthly as a treatment.
