British weather is the enemy of a good blowout. Hair that looked sleek in the mirror lifts and frizzes the moment you step outside, and that is humidity pulling moisture into the hair shaft.

This mist lays a light barrier over the top of that. It sprays superfine, so it settles evenly rather than landing in wet patches, and Moroccan Argan Oil in the formula adds shine at the same time. A couple of passes over finished hair is enough. It is not a styler and it will not hold anything, so use it once the style is done.

Suitable for all hair types, though it earns its keep most on type 2a to 3b, where frizz shows up as a halo rather than as texture.

Application tips

Last step, once the style is finished and completely dry. Hold the bottle at arm's length and mist across the surface with two or three passes, moving your hand as you spray. Nothing at the roots, and no brushing afterwards. Keep it in a desk drawer and top up before you leave if the walk home looks damp.

Results

The finish goes from matte to glossy immediately, and the shine looks like it came off the hair rather than out of a bottle.

Flyaways lie flatter. In damp air a smooth blow-dry keeps its shape for hours longer than it would bare. There is no stickiness and no hold at all, so the hair still moves. Fine hair does not go limp provided the passes stay light.
